Our tournament is part of gambit tournaments, organized by dr. Thomas Stock. At his page you can see rules and details. Here I tried to inform you about that, what Blackburne's Shilling gambit and the tournament are.

B. S. gambit is a chess opening, appearing after these moves:

1.e4 e5
2.Nf3 Nc6
3.Bc4 Nd4?!









To eat or not to eat the pawn?

A game Mulok - Kostic, Zagreb, 1911 continued so:

4.Nxe5!? Qg5
5.Nxf7?? Qxg2!!
6.Rf1 Qxe4+
7.Be2 Nf3 checkmate!!

So not to eat? Hm-m. Black looses a move and White can use it, e.g. 4.Bxf7+!? with unclear game.
This opening is popular in Russia as "Delicious Pawn" but it's played only as this variant in schools for little chessplayers on the first lessons. But the opening has to be explored much more.
